I have ordered the decadf hurricane espresso from this company for years. My husband really wanted a lighter roast, so we decided to try the decaff gorilla blend. It's delicious, but I was surprised that it is still a dark roast. I still have some of my espresso roast to compare it with. The espresso is almost black, but the gorilla is almost as dark as the espresso, just hints of dark brown differentiating it from the espresso roast. This is very surprising for a roast that is said to be a "medium-light" roast. I want to reiterate that it IS delicious, but not what we expected or were looking for.....though since it's dark enough for me, but doesn't have the burnt tast of the espresso, we are likely to continue ordering it because it works well enough for both my husband and I, kind of a nice compromise.
