A Letter from the Rogers Family

ABOUT THE ROGERS FAMILY / JULY 24, 2019 / BY SFBAYADMIN

We, the Rogers Family, are excited to officially announce that we are rebranding! With this new chapter in our company’s life, we want to ensure transparency and recognition with our customers and employees.

Our main objective with this rebrand is to create uniformity across all platforms, and our new marketing team is excited to head this project. On August 1st, we will be changing our logo on all social media platforms, and in September, we will begin shipping out packaging with our NEW LOGO! We are SO excited to show you all of our hard work.

Our look may be changing, but the quality of our product, our company values, and our family will stay the same.

We have some exciting announcements coming in 2019 and 2020, and our rebrand is just the beginning. We will be improving our OneCups, offering a Coffee Club, introducing specialty, Single Origin items, and most importantly, we will be highlighting our 32,000 farmers.

With these exciting and changing times, we ask that you continue to support us so that together, we can help change the world.

Be on the lookout for fun giveaways, a whole new website, and more informational blogs to come between now and August 1st, when we officially launch our rebrand and show you our new, updated look.

We hope you’re just as excited as we are!

Stay caffeinated our friends!

  1. Curious to know why the SF BAY ORGANIC RAINFOREST BLEND COFFEE bag size was reduced from 3 pounds to 2 pounds and the price was only reduced by $1. That’s a 33% reduction in size!!!

    1. We certainly apologize for any inconvenience. We are trying very hard to cut down on wastage, improve efficiencies, and consolidate the many different size options we currently offer. Unfortunately, the demand for the 2lb size is higher, so we have chosen to continue with that offering. We are also working very hard to transition to all compostable materials, and the 3lb size has proven to be a bit too heavy. Please keep in mind, we have lowered the price of the 2lb bag so that the cost per pound is more comparable. We hope this helps to offset the change and, again, we apologize for any inconvenience.

If you have any other questions or concerns please always feel free to reach out to us again. We hope you will continue to enjoy our products!

  2. Just so you know…I, for one, am NOT happy or exited about your “rebranding”…….your “rebranding” and new logo SUCK.

    1. Hey Marshall! I am so sorry to hear that you aren’t loving our new logo and rebrand. Our goal with the rebrand was to celebrate our 40th year in business and modernize our look, while re-committing to breaking rules, being green and enhancing the lives of our farmers and customers. We really hope our rebrand grows on you in time! Thank you for reaching out.

    1. Thank you for reaching out to us today regarding our fair trade practices. While we do not carry the “Fair Trade” certification, our coffees are indeed fairly traded and far exceed the qualifications and requirements. Pete Rogers, our CEO, personally visits our farms on a regular basis to ensure we know exactly how each of our farms are operated. He is heavily involved in every aspect of the practices and procedures that take place and has close relationships with the farmers and their families. It was these visits that initiated our community aid programs. He saw how most farmers and their families were living and he had to make a change. Unlike many companies who carry certifications, we know first-hand how our farms are being run and are able to continue to make sure we improve the lives of everyone we do business with. Our motto is: “Grow the Largest Family in the World”.

If you would like to learn more about some of the work we do on our farms, please feel free to visit our website: https://sfbaycoffee.com/fairly-traded If you have any other specific questions, please feel free to ask and we will be happy to address them.

Again, we thank you for reaching out to us and for sharing our mutual concern for the treatment of the families we do business with.

  3. I LOVE THIS COFFEE!! Have been buying it at Costco forever and no longer avbl!!! Is your rebranding the reason? Can I expect to see it again? Cant afford to pay shipping from Amazon and dont know how we will be able to substitute as we are so spoiled…

    1. Hey Yvonne! Thank you so much for reaching out! We are still in Costco and if your local Costco isn’t carrying your favorite SF Bay Coffee product, you can order it online on Costco’s website! Thank you for the support and please reach out if you have any more questions!

  4. My wife and I have been drinking your rainforest blend everyday for years and we have LOVED it. We noticed a distinct shift in flavor that coincided with the new rebrand. It’s just not the same. What changed about that blend?

  6. Not so sure the new ‘rebranding’ is all so great. It is plain, indistinctive, and does not represent San Francisco. Pictures are much more memorable! The Golden Gate Bridge is a well recognized landmark.
